8. Team Scoring
The first 4 runners (containing at least one Female) from each club to cross the finish line will compose the "A" Team of that particular club; the next 4 finishers (again containing at least one female) will be the "B" Team etc.
Any club finishing just 3 counting runners in an individual race will be awarded last place + 1 as a fourth finisher. This will allow the team to continue to complete in the series.
The total of the finishing positions of these runners will constitute the team points for each race. The team with the lowest cumulative score will be the winner of that race. In the event of a tie on points, the team whose last scoring member finishes nearest first place will determine the result.
For the purpose of team scoring, female race positions will be counted as per positions within the race as a whole.
Team points from each of the 4 races will be added together and the team with the lowest cumulative total after the fourth race will be declared the winning team. In the event of a tie on points, the team that has recorded the most race wins over its opponents in the 4 race series will be the winner.
9. Individual Scoring
Individual runners' scores for the series will be the sum of the 3 best finishing positions from the 4 races. In the event of a tie, the sum of the best 2 positions etc.
Female runners' scores will be counted as per positions within the race as a whole
Medals will be awarded to the First, Second and Third runners in the Male and Female events, and to the First runner (male and female) in each age-group category.
Points for each age-group category will be scored as per positions within the race as a whole.
Age-group status will be determined by the date of the first race of the series.
